Biographical Profile

Throughout my life paper and pencil have filled my time. After studying drawing and painting in non-regulated schools and at one point in my life I discovered that with volume I could give a different expression to the figures that I was drawing and that paper could not offer me.

More by intuition than by preparation I chose ceramics. For five years I attended the Schools Forma and Taller d’art Sant Jordi and all the courses and seminars that were offered to me. I was discovering a world that gave me almost all the possibilities that can be asked of a technique, from making utilitarian pieces, sculptures or panels This and meeting artists, works, projects, associations, captivated me.

What do I do?

I set up my workshop and for many years I managed to work, sell, doing exhibitions, attending fairs and having a personal project that after going through different stages allowed me to enjoy a profession to which I continue to dedicating all my time.

My commercial work has always been based on flat wall pieces and plates of different sizes, with character themes usually in everyday attitudes, caricatures,  drawn by hand, on “cuerda seca” (dry rope) stile and painted with enamels.(glazes)

I currently work basically doing non-serial volumetric works with refractory, I use, enamels and slips (engalbes)  fired in an oxidizing atmosphere at 1260ºC, Occasionally and to make jewelry I use porcelain.

Despite being retired, I still working in my workshop (o Studio) and contribute my time to the ceramics collective, Directing the magazine Terrart of the Associació Ceramistes de Catalunya.
